Saturday Scouting #6: Vicari Swain
Swain is a versatile weapon for the Gamecocks, playing mostly as a boundary CB, but the possibilities may be endless as to how he could be used in the right situation.
Saturday Scouting #5: Greg Johnson
One of the cleanest prospects in the class, Johnson could ascend into a surefire 1st-round pick by season’s end. The Minnesota guard/center is a multi-year starter in the Big Ten, looks the part and will be a coach’s dream at the next level.
Saturday Scouting #4: Ryan Wingo
The Texas WR room could be a key factor in the Red River Rivalry this weekend. While Cam Coleman stole most of the headlines in the offseason, it’s holdover Ryan Wingo who leads the team in receiving. Wingo is an easy WR prospect to like, but his play isn't consistent enough to be among the top guys in the class.
Saturday Scouting #3: Aneyas Williams
Williams is a very up-and-down prospect. At times, in his role as ND's #3 back in 2025, he looked explosive and every bit the next great Fighting Irish runner. Then 2026 kicks off, and the variance in his performance and usage is too much to get a fair evaluation of him right now.
Saturday Scouting #2: Faletau Satuala
Satuala is quickly becoming one of my favourite safeties in the 2027 class, if he declares. He is only 20 years old but is a phenomenal athlete who flashes rare instincts and playmaking. He hasn't been dominant to start 2026 but still shows some incredible straight-line speed and versatility. He may need another year in the BYU secondary before he declares but DCs will fall in love with Satuala if he declares and he’s a clear Top-50 talent on my board.
Saturday Scouting #1: Drew Mestemaker
Mestemaker could not have had a more up and down start to the 2026 season. He was sloppy in an upset loss vs Tulsa and then turned it around with a statement performance in an upset of #6 Oregon at home. The North Texas transfer has been the talk of the scouting community after a gutsy showing vs the Ducks in Stillwater.
